The Love Dogs
Based out of Boston, this party on wheels has spent
the last six years wowing audiences and critics
alike with their combination of great musicianship
and relentless energy. The Dogs combine elements
of jump blues, New Orleans R&B and early rocknroll
into their own powerhouse sound. Unpredictability,
killer grooves, and pure entertainment play equal
parts in the band's live show. Aside from the fact
that no two shows are ever the same, the band is
known for its interaction with its fans, breaking
down the barriers between performers and audience.
"It's important to us to have fun. A lot of
the time even we don't know what we're gonna do
next." says lead vocalist and songwriter Eddie
"Duato" Scheer. "We have a lot of
humor in our music, and we love to surprise each
other and make each other laugh. That's a big part
of what we do, and when a crowd can see that, it
becomes contagious." |

James Montgomery
When it comes to the blues, James Montgomery doesn't
just play it- he's lived it. When blues legend James
Montgomery plays the harmonica, he "brings
it on home". Whether it's recording with Kid
Rock, sitting in with Gregg Allman, or fronting
his hot band of thirty years, Montgomery plays with
authority. While growing up in Detroit he learned
first-hand from the masters - James Cotton, John
Lee Hooker, and Jr. Wells - at the legendary "Chessmate."
Over the years, he's carried on in the tradition
and continues to be a vital presence in blues as
one of the most dynamic performers on the scene.
The reviews say it all: "A studied blues musician
and a great entertainer
" - James Cotton.
"He is my buddy and my friend
where'd
he get so much soul
" - John Lee Hooker.
"Blues brother James Montgomery is proof that
R&B never goes away." - Boston Phoenix. |
